Hotel Arctic Ilulissat: Greenland

Arctic Ilulissat Hotel Information
This is arguably Greenland's finest hotel. In terms of quality of accommodation, service and food it cannot be highly recommended enough. An ideal base for that "trip of a lifetime" RY0904.

Most buildings in Greenland strictly put function before form and are consequently often uninspiring to look at. This hotel however manages to look attractive whilst being strong enough to handle some of the planet's least hospitable weather.

The rooms are modern with cool, classy decor in interesting designer colours and smart polished wood floors. Both the rooms and the modern bathrooms are in very good condition.

The restaurant is of particularly high quality and well-known all over the country as one of the best Greenland has to offer. Like the rest of the hotel it is decorated in smart modern Scandinavian style but subtle lighting makes for a very sophisticated atmosphere.

The lobby is medium sized with a polished tiled floor and a wooden reception desk. Again it is typically modern Scandinavian style, but numerous Greenland's artefacts remind the visitor that this is a million miles from down town Copenhagen!.

This hotel is located just outside Ilulissat overlooking the town from the otherside of the bay. The hotel's position also offers it some of the finest views of the breathtaking icebergs out in Disko Bay.
